We had the visit of some 40 MBBS students from St. John’s Hospital Bangalore visiting the community and had a friendly volleyball match.

Farewell to Fr. Mathew Maniamkerry

Fr. Mathew left for pastoral ministry to Kerala. He is temporarily appointed as the Acting Vicar at St. Cyriac's Church, Vylathur from 19th February 2017.

Classes for Novices by Fr. Bitaju

Fr. Bitaju arrived the community to teach the Novices. He dealt with the History of Religious Life (part two) and Basic Spanish. Brothers benefited a lot from the classes. He went back on 12th February to Bangalore after the classes. Thanks to Fr. Bitaju.

The Feast of St. John Baptist of the Conception

The Feast of St. John Baptist of the Conception was celebrated most solemnly in the community. There was three hours of special adoration to pray for the entire Trinitarian Order. Fr. Binoj presided over the Eucharistic celebration and preached on the life of the saint.

Vocation Camp

Fr. Jaison came to the community for vocation camp and some input session for those aspiring to join our Third Order. The camp was conducted on 24th February and there were 15 participants. Frs. Fr. Simine went back to Bangalore to follow up his procuring VISA to Italy. His presence in the community was really helpful. Mission USA

Parish Get Together

The parish community at St. Lawrence got together and shared our life and joy by dancing and having a sumptuous dinner together. We also invited so many new parishioners and others to the facility. This program and similar programs help the parish to grow in number as well as in faith and relationship.

Meeting of the Third Order Members

Meeting of the 3rd Order members at Jessup. We invited the executive Director from the Franciscan center in Baltimore. The Franciscan center is the place were our Order gives 650 lunches every month and thus we feed the poor of the Baltimore and continue the Order's Charism of working with the poor and underprivileged.

There are 25 girls from different tea garden villages of Assam attending various vocation training programs under the initiative of SIT India managed by the Trinitarian friars with the support of the Green Garden Sisters (ASMI) in Tamulpur. Annual Sport's Day

St. Xavier’s School had the annual sports days which was inaugurated by the Major of the Army Camp, Tamulpur. The Officer Commanding, Tamulpur, officiated the concluding ceremony of the sports day. Both the students and and staff actively participated in the various sports events.

Maiden Visit by Minister Vice Provincial

Rev. Fr. Joseph Muthuplackal, O.SS.T. made his maiden visit to the Assam Mission, along with Rev. Xavier Kachappilly, O.SS.T., the Treasurer Vice Provincial. Along with Frs. Jojo George and Meby Varghese, they visited the mission stations and some of the dioceses where the friars are doing ministry.
