Farewell

June 7: The community gratefully thanked the Sister Superiors from Marylac convent and Sr. Ananda from Holy Cross convent for their love and collaboration with our community. The Sisters were on transfer from their respective communities.

Feast of St. Michael of the Saints

June 8: Feast of St. Michael of the Saints, patron of our Vice-Province, India. Fr. Xavier, O.SS.T. was the main celebrant of the day.

Solemnity of Holy Trinity

June 11: Fr. Bitaju offered the Holy Mass for the community and delivered a meaningful message. The fathers and brothers renewed their vows. The third order member, Mr. KR Joby also renewed his promise. We had the grant meal and Mr. Joby and family were with us to celebrate the day.

Welcome to Fr. Shinu Mathew, O.SS.T.

June 18: Fr. Shinu O.SS.T. made a short visit to our community and we were glad to welcome him to the community.

Feast of Sacred Heart of Jesus

June 23: Fr. Mathew, O.SS.T. presided over the Holy Mass. Afternoon we had a friendly cricket match with O. Carm brothers.

Welcome to De Matha Home

June 29: The community was glad to welcome eight new students for De Matha Home from North-East India. Fr. Mathew, the Program Coordinator of the SIT India project introduced the students to the community.

Arrival of Candidates to Postulancy

June 3: Nine brothers from HTA, Thrissur arrived to enter into the postulancy programme of the Order.

Welcome to Minister General

June 4 - 7: Brothers devoted these days to prepare themselves to enter into the postulancy programme. Novices too participated in the retreat. Fr. Sterin Cap guided their retreat. Most Rev. Fr. Jose Narlaly, the Minister General was given a warm welcome as he came to spent a few weeks for prayer and rest. The B’dy of Br. Bibin was celebrated on 7th.

June 8: Nine Brothers were received into the postulancy programme by Fr. Minister General. Fr. Sunil was present in the community. The titular feast of the Vice-Province was celebrated and a few priests from the neighbourhood were present for dinner.

Outing to Mangalore

June 17: Brothers had their outing to Mangalore. They visited various places in Mangalore and spent their rest of them time in an amusement park named Manasa.

Orientation for Third Order

June 25: Some of the members of the community participated in the funeral of mother of Fr. Meby. There was an orientation for those aspiring to join our Third Order by Fr. General.

Farewell to Fr. General

June 30: Fr. General left for his vacation. Day of recollection was held. Fr. Jose O. Prem preached the recollection.

SEND OFF TO THIRD YEARS

June 2: Community gave a send off to our Third Year students as they were journeying to our community in Kasargod for joining Postulancy program. Juniors prepared a heart touching program for their seniors.

WELCOME TO FIRST YEAR STUDENTS

June 2: Community gave a warm welcome to our new comers. There were different activities to entertain them together with Ice-breaking program.

INAUGURATION OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2017-18

June 5: The new Academic Year 2017-18 was inaugurated by His Grace Bishop Andrews Thazhath, the Archbishop of Thrissur Archdiocese. He blessed the students and was the main celebrant of the inaugural Mass.

FEAST CELEBRATION OF BLESSED ANNA MARIA TAIGI

June 9: Community together with our Third Order Members celebrated the feast of Bl. Anna Maria Taigi. Fr Alphonse celebrated the Holy Eucharist and conducted a Eucharistic Procession.

SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST HOLY TRINITY

June 11: Community celebrated the Trinity Sunday together with Third Order Members and Trinitarian Sisters. All renewed their commitments to the Bl. Trinity. Fr Sunil was the main Celebrant for the Holy Eucharist and Fr Jins delivered the Homily. Liturgical celebration was followed by a get together and agape for all.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

June 17: Community celebrated the birthday of brothers who were born in the month of June. There were wishing, cake cutting and felicitation together with a good meal.

Environmental Day

June 6: The environmental day celebration at Shimoga by planning 40 new coconut plants under the leadership of Fr. Shinu Mathew.

Mission Abroad, USA

Dedication of the New Church, USA

June 3: Dedication of the St. Lawrence Church, Hanover, MD, where Fr. Binoy Akkalayil serves as an associate parish priest took place on 3rd of June 2017, officiated by the Archbishop of Baltimore Most Rev. William Lorie. There were many Trinitarian friars present for the dedication Mass. All are exited with the new facility and the offices.

Renewal of Vows - Bro. Vinay Kumar

June 16: Bro. Vinay Kumar, O.SS.T. renewed his vows in the community chapel of San Carlino, Rome. His vows were received by Rev. Fr. Pedro Aliaga, the Vicar-General.
