Tritva Bhavan, Assam

Picnic to Cherrapunji

March 13: Fr. Biju and Bros. Prakash and Bibin went for a trip to Cherrapunji . We visited many tourist places of interest. We came, thereafter, to MIIT, Shillong, to stay that night and next day Br.Prakash met with Fr. MC Abraham.

Feast day of Fr. Jojo George

March 19: The community celebrated St. Joseph’s feast and after the mass we wished Fr. Jojo on his feast day.

Gathering of Religious of Tamulpur

March 20: Tamulpur parish’s religious communities had a gathering at 5 pm to discuss on the coming events like Easter celebrations and Church Blessing and the active functioning of parish. The meeting ended with a dinner together.

Outing to Bhutan with new Vocations

March 24: Two vocation aspirants, namely, Shaniyah and Pinks, respectively from Karbingolon and Golpara visited the community for a come and see program. They, along with Bros. Prakash and Doyal, visited to Bhutan.

Hossana Sunday

March 25: We began our Palm Sunday celebrations at the school at 9 am. We had procession from school to the Church. Fr. Jojo celebrated the mass.

Renewal of Vows of Br. Prakash

March 28: Bro. Prakash renewd his vows at Tamplur community during the evening prayer. Fr. Jojo received his vows. Community prayed for him and congratulated him.

Good Friday Celebration

March 30: We began the Way of the Cross at 3:30 pm from the school to Church. After the Way of the Cross we had Good Friday services. We had the Venation of Cross there after.

Easter Vigil Celebrations

March 31: We had Easter candle blessed at 8 pm, followed by Easter Vigil Mass. During Mass we had holy water blessing and Renewal of Baptismal vows. After the Mass we had celebrations with tribal dance.

Fr. Binoj's Visit to Assam

March 4 - 15: Fr. Binoj made visit to second year novices in Assam and also the house of Br. Martin Mudri from 4th to 15th March. Frs. Jojo and Biju accompanied him the various mission places and it was a fruitful time. He expressed his gratitude to the friars in Assam for their hospitality and availability.

Retreat Organised by Third Order

March 18: Third Order Members organized half day retreat and it was led by Rev. Fr. Jaison, O.SS.T. There was a way of cross and then talk and adoration. Around 130 people participated in the spiritual service.

Pilgrimage to Badidukka

March 22: There was a pilgrimage to St. Mary's Church, Badidukka on foot. The journey started at 9.15 a.m. and reached the destination at 11.30 a.m. It was a memorable experience for the community.

Arrival of Bros. Johny and Milton

March 23: Brothers Milton and Johny from Bangalore arrived the community for mission experience. They are helping Fr. Meby at Infant Jesus Church, Hosagadi for various activities.

Feast of St. Joseph

March 19: The solemnity of St. Joseph was celebrated in the community. Fr. Saji, the confessor of the brothers presided over the Eucharistic celebrations and Fr. Jaison, O.SS.T., broke the Word of God for the day.

Good Friday

March 30: There was way of the Cross in the community in the morning and the afternoon was in Infant Jesus Church, Hosagadi.

Way of the Cross for the Persecuted

March 11: The community had the way of the cross for persecuted Christians with our would be Third Order members and the Migrant community.

Birthday of Bro. Rinto Mathew

March 12: The community celebrated the birthday of Bro. Rinto, who is completing his theological studies at DVK this year. We wished and prayed for him and his family.

Birthday and LCA Celebrations

March 18: The community anticipated the birthdays celebrations of the months of March and April, namely, our dear Fathers Xavier, Mathew, Bro.Milton and the feast day of Fr.Bitaju and Bro. Rinto. We also concluded the LCA 2017-2018 by distributing the prices for the winners.

Renewal of Vows

March 19: The simple professed brothers renewed their vows for a period of one year. Fr. Joseph received the vows. Fr. Binoj also was present for this occasion.

Farewell to MCBS Brothers

March 19: The third year brothers from Jeevalya Institute of Philosophy visited our community. They are moving from the Institute for their regency and they thanked all of us for all the love and care.

Birthday of Fr. Xavier

March 26: The community celebrated the birthday of Fr. Xavier. We wished and prayed for him and his family. The sisters from Holy Cross also were present.

Blessing of a New Alter

March 6: Community bought a new altar and Rev. Fr. Joseph O.SS.T, the Minister Vice Provincial, blessed the new altar, in the presence of the community before he celebrated the Holy Mass on the same day.

Way of the Cross

March 11: community conducted a way of the cross along with Trinitarian sisters and the Third Orders Members. It was very enriching experience for all and Fr. Alphonse gave a meaning full message.

Birthday of Fr. Alphonse O.SS.T.

March 19: The community celebrated the birthday of Fr. Alphonse O.S.S.T. and wished him all the best and success in his ministry.

Maundy Thursday Celebration

March 24: The community celebrated the Maundy Thursday solemnly and Fr. Sunil, the Minister, washed the feet of brothers and two of our workers during the service. Fr. Pradeep cut the paschal bread and shared in the evening. The community wished and prayed for all the priests of the community.
