Vice Provincial Administration, Bangalore

Vice Provincial Chapter

The Vice Provincial Chapter was held at Holy Trinity Ashram, Thrissur. There were 23 capitulars and a representative of the Simple Professed. Most Rev. Jose Narlaly, the Minister General, presided over and Rev. Fr. Jose Thachil, SJ facilitated the Chapter.

Fr. Joseph Muthuplackal elected as the Vice Provincial

Rev. Fr. Joseph Muthuplackal, O.SS.T. was elected as the Vice Provincial by the capitulars. Congratulations and best wishes to Fr. Joseph! Thanks to Rev. Fr. Simine G. Fernandez, O.SS.T. who served as the Minister Vicarial and the first Vice Provincial of the newly erected St. Michael of the Saints Vice Province, India.

Solemnity of Our Lady of Good Remedy

Community celebrated the solemnity of Our Lady of Good Remedy. Holy Cross sisters joined our community for the celebrations

Rosary Procession

Community had a solemn Rosary procession from Holy Cross Convent to our Ashram in celebration of the feast of Our Lady of Rosary

Annual Retreat

The annual retreat of the community began. Fr. Bitaju, O.SS.T. preached the retreat. It ended on 6th October. Fr. Bitaju was felicitated by the community on his appointment as the Councilor and Secretary of the Vice Province.

Pastoral Visitation

The Pastoral visitation took place. Fr. Simine presided over the Eucharistic celebration on 8th and received 4 brothers: Bibin, Doyal, Tibin and Tom into novitiate. A few priests from the neighbouring parishes were with us for the dinner.

Parent's Day Celebration

The Community gave a warm welcome to the parents of the seminarians and put up a magnificent cultural program for them. It was a great day for our community.

Fr. Mathew Maniamkerry returns

Fr. Mathew Maniamkerry joined the community this morning, after a month’s stay in Bangalore, taking care of Fr. Alberto who was recuperating at St. Philomena’s Hospital.
