Feast of St. John Baptist of the Conception

Feb. 14: Community celebrated the feast of our reformer, St. John Baptist of the Conception. Fr. Xavier O.SS.T was the main celebrant for the Holy Eucharist and delivered a meaningful homily.

Our Lady of Good Remedy Cow Project

Feb. 28: As part of a Cow Project of the Vice Province, cows were distributed to five deserving families in the neighbourhood of DeMatha School which was inaugurated by Fr. Xavier Kachappilly, the Manager of the School.

Feb. 15: Community entered into the season of lent and Fr. Jose Narlaly presided over the Liturgy.

Reopening of the Tailoring Center

Feb. 15: We reopened the tailoring centre after a few months due to the Lock down due to the pandemic. Restricted number of trainees began their courses.

Visit of Family of Mr. Thankachan

Feb. 21: Family of Mr. Thakachan, one of our faithful worker for almost a decade, visited the community.

Visit to Neighbouring Religious Communities

Feb. 27: Community made a visit to neighboring religious communities, namely Norbertine Community at Perala and Franciscan sisters at Badiaduka.

Jubilee Wishes to Archbishop George and Farewell to Fr. Jose

Feb. 28: Community gave farewell to Fr. Jose Narlaly as he is assigned to a new mission in the USA. His grace George Njaralakatt also joined for the same. Community Congratulated His grace as he celebrates the 50th year of his ordination anniversary.

Feb. 05: We are invited for the lunch at the residence of Francesco & Estrina at Ventosa. Francesco is the Catechist and Estrina is the sacristan.

Feast of St. John Baptist of the Conception

Feb. 14: The community celebrated the feast of Reformer of the Order St. John Baptist of the Conception. The celebration began by the Eucharistic celebration. The Holy Mass presided by Fr. Joseph the Vice Provincial of India.

Holy Mass with Rev. Arun SJ

Feb. 16: The community invited Rev. Fr. Arun SJ the parish priest of Kalena Agrahara to celebrate the Holy Eucharist. The whole community prayed with him for his departed father. He lost his father due to an accident.

Feb. 20: The Bangalore community whole heartedly welcomed dear Rev. Fr. Jose Narlaly O.SS.T. to the community. He stayed with us for a few days and shared his joy.

Congratulations to Bro. Anugrah

Feb. 24: The community appreciated brother Anugrah for getting good marks for his Philosophical studies. He received his certificates on convocation day.

Volleyball Match with Montfort Brothers

Feb. 25: The community continued to show the efficacy of the brothers in the Volleyball match with Montfort.

Presentation of the Lord

Feb. 02: The Community celebrated the “Epiphany of the Lord” on this day. Fr. Jins, the Minister of the house celebrated the Holy Eucharist. Frs. Bitaju and Saneesh concelebrated with him.

Parents' Day

Feb. 07: We had the “Parents Day” celebrations today. The parents of our brothers from Kerala were present. We began the day with the Eucharistic celebration presided over by Fr. Jins and Fr. Bitaju preached the homily. After the lunch, the brothers put up a cultural fest to add more colour to it.

Farewell to Fr. Sebi Veliyan

Feb. 09: The Community arranged a send off program to Fr. Sebi Veliyan, our assistant parish priest. Fr. Saneesh felicitated him and Fr. Bitaju wished him with a bouquet. During the lockdown days, he used to come regularly for the games with the community. Thanks to Fr. Sebi for being a very good friend to us.

One-Day Picnic

Feb. 13: We had our one day picnic to ‘‘Kumarakom.’’ Except Fr. Mathew, all the members of the community were present for it. It was a wonderful moment of fellowship and fraternity. During Covid restrictions, we could make a magnificent trip without any social contacts.

Ash Wednesday

Feb. 17: It was “Ash Wednesday”. Fr. Jins, the Minister of the house presided over for the services. The Trinitarian sisters also joined the community. Except the lunch, we took fast for the whole day.

Performance Day

Feb. 27: We had our “Performance Day” today. It was a glorious moment for the brothers to express their areas of strength in the musical field. All of them performed based on the studies they underwent. Fr. Jins felicitated and valued the teachers with a taken of appreciation. There was a fusion performance from the teachers. Feb. 14: The community celebrated the feast of the Holy Reformer with the Holy Mass presided over by Fr. Pradeep, the Minister of the house and con-celebrated by Fr. Francis. SABS sisters were present for the Mass in the morning and later in the evening for the festal dinner as well.
