One-Day Trip

August 15: “It is not down in any map; true places never are.” – Herman Melville. We had two days trip to Wayanad as a community. Where we find a break from our daily routine and we enjoyed the trip.

Feast of Assumption and Independence Day

August 15: Let’s keep the memories of all the people who sacrificed their lives for our country alive. Happy Independence Day. As well as we celebrated the feast of Assumption of mother Mary, we celebrated the with special prayer for our country and the leaders of the country as well as all the Catholics especially all who named after Assumption.

Pray for Manipur at Vidhavanam

August 05: The Community took part in the Eucharist adoration and Rosary procession conducted in Vidhyavanam, Bhoothanahalli, praying for those suffering in Manipur. The Vidhyavanam community expressed gratitude and joy for the open-minded attitude to join them in adoration.

New T-shirt for the Community

August 08: The Community distributed the T-shirt and track pants as part of the LCA programme. Frs. Bitaju and Vinay thanked Bros. Anugrah and Edwin for the initiative they took to bring out good T-shirt and track pants.

Independence Day Celebrations

August 15: The Community celebrated Independence Day. We hoisted the flag solemnly after the Holy Mass. Bro. Edwin delivered a good message on this very special day. The Community conducted a debate on the topic “Is Manipur issue an ethnical or religious riot”. Fr. Tinto was the moderator for the debate.

Solemnity of the Assumption of Bl. Virgin Mary

August 15: The Community celebrated the solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Fr. Vinay gave a good reflection to the brothers. As part of the Feast Day the community conducted a volleyball match. Fr. Vinay was the referee and he distributed the prize to the winners. In the evening we conducted a solemn rosary procession.

Welcome Fr. Francis KA

August 18: The Community welcomed Fr. Francis and greeted him. He expressed joy to come to the Bangalore community and to see the brothers. He also thanked the community for the warm welcome given by the Community.

Happy Birthday Bro. Adman

August 23: The community celebrated the birthday of Bro. Adman. The community wished him and prayed for him and his family. Bro. Amal felicitated him on behalf of the community. Bro. Joyal sang a song as a compliment to Bro. Adman.

August 27: The community celebrated the birthday of Bro. Alan Ouseph. We wished him well and prayed for him and his family. Bro. Joyal commented good words about him on behalf of the community. Bro. Doyal sang a song as a compliment to Bro. Alan.

Onam Celebrations

August 29: The Community celebrated the festival of Onam in a colourful way. The Brothers made a wonderful flower carpet. We had a traditional way of lunch and the community welcomed Fr. LCA Competitions

August 30: The LCA coordinators conducted competitions. There were individual and group items. We invited Sisters from Holy Cross Convent and Marillac Convent and a brother from Ocarm Community as the judges for evaluating the programme.

August 15: The community celebrated the Independence Day of India and the Solemnity of the Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary. Fr. Joshy hoisted the flag and Br. Michael delivered the Independence Day message.

August 17: Fathers Meby and Sunny made a friendly visit to our community and celebrated the Holy Mass for the community.

August 19: Mrs. Jessy, friend of Fr. Joshy visited our community on 19.08.23 and stayed with us for a week.

Third Order Gathering

August 20: The Third Order, Kasaragod gathered in our Ashram and had relevant discussions. It was a time of fellowship and sharing.

August 24: The community celebrated the birthday of Alen Raphy and the community wished and prayed for him.

August 29: The community joined with St. Mary’s Church, Badiadukka for the Onam Celebration. It was an enjoyable time for all.

Feast of St. John Mary Vianney

August 04: The Thrissur community celebrated the feast day of St. John Mary Vianey and greeted all the priest in the community as it is the patron feast of the entire priest. We beseeched the blessing on this particular day and had wonderful celebration.

LCA Inauguration

August 04: The community of Thrissur inaugurated the LCA program with the theme of “Oneness” that is doing everything together and growing together in unity. Fr. Antony gave magnificent message for growing in unity and doing everything in unity and become one.

Welcome Fr. Santhosh KV, O.SS.T.

August 10: The community gave warm welcome to Fr. Santhosh. He visited our community and assured his prayer for the community and for each one of us. The community enjoyed his presence very much.

Independence Day Celebration

August 15: The Thrissur community celebrated the Independence Day along with the members of Mercy Home. We had holy mass in mercy home celebrated by Fr. Francis and then flag hoisting in both Mercy Home and in the Seminary.

August 19: The community welcome to Fr. Meby whole heartedly. Community was very happy to welcome Fr. Meby and his presence in the community.

Birthday Celebration

August 20: The parents of Brother Asher came to celebrate the birthday of Asher’s father and the community whole heartedly welcomes them and celebrated the birthday. The community wished them all greetings of the day and assured our prayer support.

August 25: The community gave a warm welcome to Fr. Biju who is novice master and formation director. The members of the community were very happy and enjoyed his company with us.

August 25: The community gladly welcomed Fr. James Pampara CMI who came to help in the community and who helps us in various ways. The community expressed the attitude of gratitude along with the welcoming words.

Farewell to Mr. Ravi Chettan

August 28: The community was grateful to Ravi Chettan for his wonderful service in our community for five years. The community showed the love and prayer support to Ravi Chettan and gave farewell to him.

Onam Celebrations

August 29: The Thrissur community celebrated the Onam celebration with the members of Mercy Home and with sisters along with the feast of St. Euphrasia. We had Holy Mass in the morning and Onam celebration in the afternoon. We all beseeched the blessings of St. Euphrasia.

Triduum for the Feast of St. Lorenzo

August 10: The community in Piazza San Lorenzo, began the Triduo for the feast of St: Loronzo. Began with solemn rosary and holy mass.

Feast St. Lorenzo

August 13: The community in Piazza San Lorenzo celebrated the feast of St Lorenzo. After the holy mass, we had solemn procession through different parts of the village. Also end of the procession there was fire works and concert.

Vianny Festal Celebration

August 04: DeMatha Boy’s Home celebrated the feast of St. John Maria Vianny. Neighboring communities joined the celebration and Sisters of ASMI had wished the priests on this particular day.

Independence Day Celebration at DMS

August 15: DeMatha Home celebrated the Solemnity of the Assumption of Bl. Virgin Mary and DeMatha School had a great celebration of the 77th Independence Day. Major Jagadeep Pal DIG of SSPS hoisted the Flag and delivered a speech on Independence Day.

Assumption of Bl. Mary and First Holy Communion

August 15: First Holy Communion of Br. Martio Basumatary, a candidate in DeMatha Boy’s Home, was celebrated in DeMatha Home. Fr. Xavier Kachappilly was the main Celebrant. Sisters from neighboring communities were invited for the program. Members from Br. Martio’s family were present for his First Holy Communion.

Hearty Welcome to Frs. Vinay and Francis

August 22: A warm welcome was given to Frs. Vinay and Francis after coming back from the state of Manipur, where Christian faithful are continuously persecuted for their faith and racial differences.
