SUMMARY:Prayer Week for the Persecuted Christians
DESCRIPTION:The community arranged a week-long prayer from 17-23 October for the persecuted by selecting seven countries that experience severe persecution of Christian around the globe.  Each day before the Holy Mass two assigned brothers presented chart paper with pictures and data and a brief description of the situation of the particular country for which we were praying that day.  The seven countries identified were: North Korea\, Eritrea\, Libya\, Somalia\, Yemen\, Nigeria and Pakistan.

SUMMARY:Prayer Week for the Persecuted Christians - Assam
DESCRIPTION:The Assam community solemnly celebrated the feast of Holy Redeemer; it was a day of joy and blessing. As a preparation for the feast\, the community had special Masses and prayers for eight days with different intentions of the persecuted Christians. On Thursday 23rd October\, feast day of the Holy Redeemer\, the community gathered in the St. Xavier’s Church\, Tamulpur and we had solemn Eucharistic celebration presided over by Fr. Meby Kallungal\, O.SS.T.\, the President of SIT India\, followed by special way of the cross animated by Fr. Xavier Kachappilly. On 25th Sunday after the Eucharistic celebration along with faithful and neighboring communities\, we had Eucharistic procession and rosary for the victims of persecution in different parts of the world.

SUMMARY:Prayer Week for the Persecuted Christians
DESCRIPTION:The Bangalore community celebrated the feast of Holy Redeemer with great joy and enthusiasm. As a preparation for the feast\, the community conducted special prayer services for eight days with the different intention of the persecuted Christians. The commemoration started with the Novena to the Holy Redeemer. The special way of decoration in the chapel really pitched and recalled how the people are still persecuted in the name of Jesus Christ. On Thursday 21st October the community conducted the Way of the Cross with the special intention of the victims of persecution. The way of the cross concluded in the chapel by special blessing by Fr. Janil Chakkiath O.SST. On 22nd the community scheduled Holy Adoration with the special intention for the persecuted Christians. Brother Doyal and team animated the adoration and the community decided to fast at night and pray for them and join with their suffering. 23rd the community celebrated the feast of the Holy Redeemer; the celebration began with the Holy Mass offered by the Provincial of Indian vice province Fr. Joseph Muthuplackal O.SS.T.

SUMMARY:Prayer Week for the Persecuted Christians - Thrissur
DESCRIPTION:The Community set apart this day as a prayer and fasting\, in solidarity with the suffering Church. We avoided the classes on the entire day and spent time in prayer and adoration. At Morning\, after the Holy Mass\, the Holy Eucharist was exposed and the community spent with the Lord in different groups. At 10:30am\, Trinitarian sisters also joined us for the adoration. At 11:30am\, the whole community came together and spent in one-hour of adoration\, led by Frs. Mathew and Jins. As a gesture of our union with the persecuted Christians\, we skipped the Lunch. Afternoon\, at 2:30pm\, we had a solemn way of the cross for the persecuted Christians. The Trinitarian sisters joined with the community. After the tea\, they dispersed.
