SUMMARY:Prayer Week for the Persecuted Christians - Assam
DESCRIPTION:The Assam community solemnly celebrated the feast of Holy Redeemer; it was a day of joy and blessing. As a preparation for the feast\, the community had special Masses and prayers for eight days with different intentions of the persecuted Christians. On Thursday 23rd October\, feast day of the Holy Redeemer\, the community gathered in the St. Xavier’s Church\, Tamulpur and we had solemn Eucharistic celebration presided over by Fr. Meby Kallungal\, O.SS.T.\, the President of SIT India\, followed by special way of the cross animated by Fr. Xavier Kachappilly. On 25th Sunday after the Eucharistic celebration along with faithful and neighboring communities\, we had Eucharistic procession and rosary for the victims of persecution in different parts of the world.
