SUMMARY:Vice Provincial Chapter and the New VP Council
DESCRIPTION:The Vice Provincial Chapter of the St. Michael of the Saints Indian Vice Province was held at Maitreya\, Bangalore\, from January 10 to 15\, 2026\, with the theme “Chains of Oppression\, Bonds of Liberation.” The Chapter was presided over by the Fr. General. \nRev. Dr. Sunil Kumar D’Souza animated the Chapter with insightful sessions on “Chains of Oppression\, Bonds of Liberation: A Trinitarian Journey\,” “Glory to the Trinity and Redemption of Captives in the Light of Canon Law\,” and on the recent amendments concerning Religious Institutes. \nDuring the Chapter\, the new Vice Provincial Council was elected: Very Rev. Augustine Vadakkethala as Minister Vice Provincial; Rev. Binoj Mathew as Vicar Vice Provincial and First Councillor; Rev. Jolly Thekkinen as Treasurer and Second Councillor; Rev. Sunil Thoppiltharayil as Secretary and Third Councillor; and Rev. Joshy Mappilaparambil as Fourth Councillor. \nThe Chapter was a grace-filled occasion of fraternal sharing\, reflection\, and prayerful planning for the future mission and growth of the Vice Province.
